Ivié Itoje is a dedicated advocate for body respect and the creation of harmonious communities. With a background in human rights law from the University of Warwick and a master's degree from the Central School of Speech and Drama, she has committed her career to challenging societal norms and fostering a more inclusive and compassionate approach to body image and self-acceptance.
Her extensive experience includes working with NGOs across the USA, Nigeria, Kenya, and the UK, where she developed programmes that champion positive social and structural change.
Her interdisciplinary expertise emphasises the importance of creativity in advocacy, supporting psychological changes and promoting dignity, respect, and inclusivity within an anti-oppressive framework.
Inspired by her personal experience of overcoming exclusionary school communities and battling low self-esteem as a teenager, Ivié is now thrilled to lead The Body Respect Project. The organisation provides expertise and practical tools to professional and school environments, helping to create welcoming communities that honour our unique experiences.
